When Kate visited National Trust property Goddards recently she was struck by the beautiful Arts and Crafts house.
Goddards, just off the Tadcaster Road in York, was once home to the industrious Terry family, creators of household names like Chocolate Orange and All Gold. Built in 1937, it was acquired in 1980 by the National Trust and opened to the public a few years ago. Kate saw in it a striking resemblance to the home of the Todd family from Life After Life:
"Fox Corner doesn't really exist of course, but if it did, Goddards could be its closest representation in real life", Kate said after she visited with her family.
Goddards is open between 11am and 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday, until the end of October. Visit the National Trust website for more information.
